Tripulação US Airways 1549 no 60 Minutes

Quem estiver interessado, coloquem os TiVos para gravar o programa 60 Minutes (CBS) do próximo domingo onde a tripulação do vôo 1549 da US Airways vai conceder a primeira entrevista para um canal de televisão.

(CBS) Capt. Chesley B. Sullenberger, the hero pilot of US Airways flight 1549, and his entire crew will appear on 60 Minutes in their first interviews since the extraordinary water landing on the Hudson River in New York City.

Katie Couric's interview with Sullenberger and his crew will be featured next Sunday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

The pilot and his crew became instantly known worldwide on Jan. 15, when they managed to pull off a masterful landing and evacuation on the icy Hudson River.

Sullenberger describes in detail the landing dubbed "miracle on the Hudson," revealing his thoughts and emotions during the dramatic maneuver and the days following the event, including the posttraumatic stress he suffered in the aftermath.

Sullenberger's crew included co-pilot Jeff Skiles and flight attendants Doreen Walsh, Sheila Dail and Donna Dent.

The Charlotte, N.C.-bound jet, an Airbus A320, lost power to both engines moments after takeoff. It appears the flight suffered a double bird strike.

Without engine power, and unable to return to an airport, the crew landed just three minutes later on the river. All 155 people on board were safely evacuated within minutes.
